Mmm... money.

Tuesday 11th August. Great day.
My birthday is not until tomorrow, but I always have my parties on the 11th (so I can stay up all night and spend the 12th hibernating). This year, I also chose to open every single one of my presents on the 11th.
Overall, I got 3 t-shirts, about £320, some books, a coat, ray-ban sunglasses and concert tickets. Best haul ever xD
I'm going to spend the money when I go to London; except, by then, I'll have about £400. I'm probably going to put £50 or so in savings, and I also want to buy my granny a surprise bouquet of flowers (about £30). She lives in Gloucester, though, so I need to go to my local florist and see if they send flowers that far.
My friends came over at around 2.30. We were all starving like Marvin's mother, so I got the BBQ started. I managed to singe half the sausages, but at least noone will get food poisoning (;
My dad now trusts me with his camera, and I was snapping away all day.
We went to the park, as it was an extremely nice, sunny day, and loads of photos were taken.
Most of my friends have to go home when it gets dark, so although I could stay out until 11.30-ish if I so wished, everyone else had to go at about 9.
It was a perfect day, though. I uploaded all of the pictures onto my facebook, and am getting constant emails saying "so-and-so likes your picture".

I heart LDN... and my granny.

Not done a blog in a few days, so I'll keep it short.
Tuesday and Wednesday, I spend in London. I love that place.
We went to the dungeons, Covent Garden etc on the first day. The dungeons made me jump loads, and I loved browsing in Covent Garden; I eventually found Jack Wills, but couldn't afford anything.
The second day, we went to the science museum. My sister, being the self-righteous little thing she is, threw a paddy so huge that the security guards came over to make sure that everything was ok; and that we weren't abducting her (we were with my grandparents and she was shouting, "LET ME SEE MUMMY!!"
Once we got home, I told my mum about this. Consequently, my grandparents have fallen out with my parents; they think that their way of raising us is better and, quite rightly, my mum's had enough of my granma's insults. As a result, they've not spoken since, and I'm unsure as to whether or not they'll be coming to see me on my birthday....
On Wednesday night, despite being initially knackered, I couldn't get to sleep until 5am O_e
I, therefore, woke up at 4pm, and spent the whole of Thursday and Friday hibernating.
On Saturday, we packed and went to my granny's house. I was nicely refreshed from my two days of doing naff all, so hated having to sit in the car for the two hours it took us to travel to Gloucester.
I don't get to see my granny half as much as I'd like D:
They bought far too much food for the six of us (my granny plus me, mum, dad, sister and brother), so my uncle, aunt and cousin stopped by on the way back from the Liverpool match.
Which I hear they lost 2-1 D:
Today, we visited my mum's cousin and her family. I've not seen them in a good 6 or 7 years, so it was good to see them again. We only stayed for about an hour, though, as we had to go back to my granny's for lunch.
Once again, far too much food was prepared.
Soon after lunch, we set off for home. We got back at about 6:30. I had to take the dog out, but since then, I've been doing nothing.
I'm not sure what I'm doing tomorrow, but on Tuesday, I'm having my birthday party!
My birthday's on the 13th, but the 11th is my party with my friends. I can then stay up all night, spend the 12th hibernating, then spend my actual birthday with my family.
Right now, I'm going to watch Bring It On (a film).
Tooodles.

Come on, Diane...

Ah, I've not really got a lot to say today - been out again, same as yesterday and had a good day, but there are a lot of inside jokes involving what we did.
Although, we did tag along with the runners in the park. We were taking the mickey out of the fat runners that started first - staggered starts, y'know, the good people go last - and sprinted past them.
We eventually ran out of breath and hid behind a bush as they ran past, then started running back to the group of friends. The later groups had, by then, started running, and we were running towards them.
As we didn't exactly look like serious runners, one of the burly men shouted "Are you taking the pisss?!?!?" at us. ._.
Also, as we were crossing the bridge, we saw this unbelievably strange dog. It was a shih-tzu, but it had a wonky face and its tongue was lolling out of the side, all goofy-like.
We were laughing at the dog's appearance, but then the old woman who owned the dog growled at it, "Come on, Diane".
This dog was called Diane XD
For some reason, this set us off, and we walked off singing "Come on Diane" to the tune of "Come on Eileen".
Anyway, I'm going to London tomorrow.. this has been a pointless blog.. but I'm tired.

A Long Blog

I seem to have a knack for writing long blogs, and this will no doubt be one as I haven't posted for three days.
I'll start with Thursday.
I was planning to have a lazy day on Thursday, but my best friend texted me and asked me if I wanted to go to her house; of course, I did.
She lives on the opposite side of the park, which is about a 15 minute walk.
It had been raining sporadically all day, but just before I left, I could hear an ominous rumble of thunder and see lightning.
Of course, I left my house, regardless.
Boy, do I have timing.
I got to the end of the road running down beside my house and it started raining heavily. I didn't think too much of it, even when I saw families running away from the park. Carrying on walking, it started hailing.
I quite liked hail; until then.
It hailed so hard, I couldn't see more than a few feet in front of me. Yet still, I was determined to make it to the other side of the park; perhaps surprisingly, I didn't get too far.
I got to the small park near the bridge that leads into the bigger park and my umbrella turned inside out and the wind lashed the hail against my legs. It was at this point I decided to turn back.
So, I ran across the field to get back to the road I live on. This field is lined with houses, and I could feel every single pair of eyes on me at this point, no doubt laughing at me - I know that if I saw a soaking, wind-swept girl being attacked by hail running across a slippery field, I'd laugh like a look.
To make myself look less lonesome, I whipped out my mobile and pretended to talk to someone. Just because I'm that cool.
I eventually got back home after running through some knee-deep puddles that were hidden by floating pieces of hail.
D'you know what happened? Soon after I got inside, the sun started shining again and the rain/hail stopped ._.
Although, once I'd semi-dried out, I did have a good time at my friend's house.
On Friday, I went to town with two friends. One of my friends went there with a purpose of buying some birthday presents for his two sisters, armed with £20.
He ended up spending £9 on food, and didn't get any presents.
After town, I took my dog out and met my best friend. She asked me if I wanted a sleepover - which, of course, I did - so I scurried home and packed a bag.
We pigged out on pizza, chips and watched Mean Girls.
After the usual getting-no-sleep-at-a-'sleepover' thing, we woke this morning after I'd forgotten to turn my alarm off.
Soon after, her mum came in and randomly asked us if we wanted to go to Camden; which, of course, we did.
I scuttled back to my house, hastily got ready and piled into the car.
We wandered around Caaaaaahmed for about two hours, but I didn't buy anything; I'm going shopping on Oxford Street at the end of August, so needed to save my money.
After having a nice time in Camden, we drove to Brent Cross. I only came with £30, so I couldn't buy the polo shirt I wanted from Hollister (£25) after I'd bought my £15 red cardi from Zara, but I thought that the cardigan would go with more clothes I already have.
And, to top the day off, we actually ended up buying a Heat magazine.
"We're going to London, to buy a Heat magazine!" 'n' all.

Rub-a-dub-dub, Three Men in a Tub?

Ah, today has been a good day. Even if I only got about 4 hours sleep.
I seem incapable of nodding off until at least 2.30am-ish, thus meaning I wake up at some ridiculous time, like 1pm. Last night, I got to sleep gone 3am and woke up at 8. -.-
Anyway, I got up early because I had my hair done. My appointment was at 10.30, but I always get nervous when things happenn concerning change, so I got up earlier than necessary.
My whole hair thing took a total of 3 hours. I have gone from black hair with blonde and brown highlights with no parting and a long fringe to dark brown hair with a red tint with lots of choppy layers, a side parting and fuller fringe.
There was a wasp buzzing somewhere near my head whilst the poor girl was trying to cut my hair, but I managed to contain myself and didn't leap up - if I did, my fringe would've been lopped off.
I'm loving the final look (:
As my passport has been expired for quite a while now, and I am going to Poland with the school - Auschwitz 'n' whatnot - I needed a new passport photo. I went to a photographer place.
Now, I hate cameras, and this man looked funny, so my expression in the photo.. I can only describe it as a mixture of bemusement and seriousness. I tried to be very serious.
Passports have to be serious. (:<
Anyway, after that, I skedaddled off to town to meet some friends. They liked my new hair (:
We toddled off down the park. Ah. We didn't do much except walk around for a bit, but my best friend... haha.
She started singing "Radar" by Britney Spears, and thought it said, "On my radar, you're a radar". For some reason, I almost p*ssed myself :L
If that wasn't bad enough, it started raining. We were sitting on a bench at this point, and my best friend suddenly turned to me, grabbed my shoulders and shook me and screamed "BLIMEY RAINING!" in my face.
Apparently, she meant "Cor blimey, 'tis raining".
Ahaa.
We then had a good old debate about the butcher, baker, candlestick maker. She and Rachael were convinced a bathtub was involved - hence, "Rub-a-dub-dub, three men in a tub" but I'm not too convinced.
As it was raining, we headed to my best friend's house. She and Rachael were starving like Marvin's mum, so we went to Domino's.
Naturally, I got the bright white spotty umbrella that didn't work.
As Domino's isn't an eat-in-restaurant affair, we had to find somewhere dry to sit and eat it. We headed for this sheltered bit by the pet shop, but people were already sitting there and looking intimidating so we went and sat on the windowledge outside Argos.
With two slices left of the (large) pizza, all was going well, until Rachael, who has the box on her lap, slipped off the window ledge.
Oh my God, I don't think I've laughed so much.
The sauce thing went flying and the remaining slices of pizza landed topping side-up in the rain. Naturally, we still ate those slices [/tramps].
After this display of disgusting eating habits, we headed to my best friend's house to have a good sob-fest over Titanic.

Lazy Days.

I am such a slob. I've not been out of the house today :/
On Sunday, me and my family went to see the new Harry Potter film. I'm sorry, but it's a load of "tosh". I felt it was nothing more than a 'filler' film, to set us up for the next two which, hopefully, will have some action. I was really disappointed in the new film, although I must say I giggled at the "Harry!"... "Sir!" bit. And the "pincers" bit. But that's besides the point.
Yesterday, I had a consultation with my hairdresser; I'm getting my colour changed. Currently, I have black hair with blonde and brown highlights. I'm changing to a warm brown colour, using my natural (blonde) hair as the highlights.
I can't wait, although quite nervous, as I've had black hair for a while now.
Today, I've had a total slob day. I was supposed to be going out with my best friend, but I woke up at 1pm, and as far as I'm concerned, that's too late to bother :P
Maybe I'm just antisocial, though.
Anyway, I did end up going in the gym - for all of half an hour - so at least I've done something today.
Tomorrow, though, as my hair appointment is as 10.30 and will take about 3 hours to complete, I really have no opportunity to stay in bed late.
Shame.

Good Week (Y)

Ah, it's almost the end of my first week of the summer break - only six weeks and a day left :P
It's been a good week though, and I've had a good two days.
Yesterday, I met friends in Costa at half 1. Just as I left, my friend's dad, an estate agent, came to value our house (my parents want an extension done). I choked on my biscuit dust when I accidentally inhaled it, and as soon as I'd stumbled out the door, it started raining.
Not just drizzling. Full-on peeing it down.
I put my brolly up and my coat on and power-walked to town. I ran into two of my friends on the way, who were doing their paper rounds. They were huddled near a shop, and one of them had abandoned their paper trolley :L
I left them to it, and ran across the Market Square to meet my friends outside Gregg's (the bakers, don't ye know?), and we then sprinted to Costa. We stumbled in, bedraggled, and got some very dirty looks from the workers who obviously thought we were only there to get their chairs and floor soaking.
I took off my coat, and my legs/feet were actually soaking, it was so uncomfortable :/
After getting a hot choccy in Costa, we toddled over to KFC. It's normally about a half-hour walk, but we took at least an hour because it kept raining on and off. Once in KFC, I got a Fillet thing. I went large (only because I thought the girl said it was 4p extra :L turns out it was 40p), but we got all the meals delivered on one tray and half way through our meal, we realised my friend had been eating the meal I'd paid more for :L
Perhaps you had to be there.
Today was good, too. It hasn't rained once today, and it was really hot. There was a rowing regatta going on, and a few of my friends are involved in it - one is coxing, one's in the control tent - so me and my best friend went down there to see 'em. I took my dog with me, and we got stopped by lots of random old people saying how cute she is.. which is unusual, as she's a big slobbery boxer dog.
My friend was trying to explain to my other friend what a cox does. Rach (my other friend) thought that you had to "just move the udder" :L
Apparently, she meant rudder, but we were all like, "Rachael, you're not milking the boat O_e".
Anyway, my parents have decided that tomorrow we need to have some "family fun" :/
I don't mind too much, though - the regatta is on again tomorrow, so a few of my friends are busy with that, it's one of my friend's mum's birthday, and my best friend is having a family picnic, so I'd not be able to go out and do much anyway.
Anyway, I love whole days dedicated to "family fun"...

Fun Few Days.

Ah. I love theme parks.
I've literally just arrived home from a stay at Alton Towers; well, we went yesterday to the Cariba Creek thing, and went in the theme park today.
I'd also gone to Alton Towers during the Easter break, both times with my grandparents - they like taking us away, and because they're going to New Zealand again in September, they feel really guilty. Hence they're taking us to London next week (or the week after).
I was dubious as to whether or not I'd be able to go on any big rides - my brother, who is 11, is a right wuss when it comes to rides; my sister is only 7; my grandparents.. well, they're old.
I could have gone on every single ride on my own, but I hate lining up on my larry. Surprisingly, though, my G'ma was game for just about anything!
The first ride we went on was Air. The wait was 'only' 25 minutes, but usually the queue reaches 50 and above minutes, so we saw sense and went on it when the times were relatively low.
I loved it.
It feels a lot faster than it looks, although I didn't find it that scary.
I can't remember the exact order we did things, but I also went on Ripsaw (and got drenched), Enterprise, Spinball Whizzer, a few random rides and Oblivion.
As my brother was wussing out of going on Enterprise, a tame ride which goes upside down, my G'ma said that if he went on it with me, she'd go on Oblivion with me. As my brother wanted to see that, he agreed; he didn't think she'd stick to her word, though.
Bearing in mind she's 68... she's got balls of steel :L
I didn't think it was that scary - they didn't really leave you hanging long enough - she was absolutely petrified, bless her.
It was a good ride, though.
Anyway, I'm now absolutely knackered and I plan to wake up at a reasonable time tomorrow - I've made plans to meet friends in Costa. It seems we always meet in Costa.
We don't.

T4 on the Beach... in the rain...

After promising to go to sleep at 10pm at the latest last night, I ended up going to sleep at half 12 after spending 45 minutes on the phone to a friend. I was therefore sceptical as to whether I'd be able to wake up at all, let alone as early as 5am.
Surprisingly, I managed to wake up and get myself ready without too much hassle. I even remembered the tickets, my phone and a waterproof coat.
Cor blimey did that coat come in handy.
I knew the weather forecast had predicted rain but really.. this was just ridiculous. Waiting in the queue for the car park, it was raining heavily on and off, so I assumed that all the rain would have passed by the time the concert started.
We arrived, and after having our tickets violently ripped, watched Gossip. They were actually really very good. Me and my friends stood near the side of the stage. I tried to take a picture of Beth Ditto, but I just got a big pink blob.
Then JLS came on. My, they were rather good. Our view of the stage wasn't particularly great, but I recorded plenty of videos of them, and my friend had a camera that took good pictures of the big screen things. N-Dubz then came on. I don't like them at all, but my friend did. As a consequence of watching them, we missed Fightstar on the other stage >_>
Leaving Taio Cruz to do his thing, we toddled off to find some food, just as it started raining again. I really did come prepared, and whipped out my wellies.
We wandered around in the rain for a bit, had a gander at the Signing Tent (didn't bother getting anything signed, the queue was too long) and arrived back at the main stage to watch Calvin Harris. This time, we stood over the other side of the stage, right next to the Celebrity Box. We saw Gok Wan, the cast of Skins, some person from the Sugababes (I think, lol, maybe another girlband), some of the cast of Hollyoaks and Sophie Ellis Bextor. Even though they were celebrities, they all whipped out their phones and filmed us all screaming - Gok got the biggest scream, I think, and because of this, we totally missed Florence and the Machine; couldn't hear her over the screaming.
By this point, my phone had run out of battery (too many videos of JLS), but my friend took a good picture of Gok when he was looking right at our camera.
It then started raining again just before Metro Station - this time, really hard. My two friends had forgot waterproofs, so my dad bought them ponchos, which made them look like two massive condoms.
Quite a sight.
I didn't like Metro Station all that much.
It was strange, too, as I assumed all the screaming you see on telly is spontaneous - far from it. They tell you when to shout and scream with a "3, 2, 1, NOW!" cue. It wasn't all bad, though. There were various inflatable balls floating around. There was this huge red one, which soaked up water and became heavy. It hit me in the head and made a stain on my hood :L
Will Young then played, but my friend had an accident and had to be seen by a paramedic, so we missed from Will Young to Basement Jaxx. We stayed to watch Diversity and Daniel Merriweather, but the paramedics advised my friend to get some rest and stay in the warm, so we had to leave shortly after that.
All in all, such a great day. Sad it was shortened, but it couldn't be helped. I'll hopefully upload some pictures of the event!

First Day of the Holidays!

Ah. The summer holidays. Ice-cream, sun, sea, sand... or should that be, umbrellas, hail, rain and thunderstorms?
My summer holiday took off in true British fashion yesterday, after the most spectactularly ill-timed thunderstorm I've ever had the displeasure in being caught in. Me and my friends had to sprint to my house through the rain and hail that was coming down so fast we couldn't see a few metres infront of us. In July!
Anyway, after drying ourselves off at my house, we left my hallway like a swimming pool and toddled off to town where we'd arranged to meet some friends in Costa; only to find, when we got there, that the road infront of Costa had flooded and we'd have to wade through knee-deep water.
Now, I like a good overpriced coffee, but there are some things I just wouldn't do.
So instead, we spent four hours in Subway. Ah, what larks.
Last night, I stayed up until about 2:30 am, and woke up about 10am. Surprisingly early.
It's now 12-ish, and I'm still in my PJs. I have a busy-ish week ahead, so may as well enjoy it. Tomorrow, I have to wake up at 5am so I can leave my house by 6:45, so my dad can pick two of my friends up and take us to Weston-super-Mare, to T4 on the Beach!
I am so excited! I'm not sure if I want it to rain, though.
We'll see.. laters.
